LICENSED DEMOLITION CONTRACTORS

Recent changes to the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations has meant that certain Demolition work and Asbestos Removal can only be undertaken by a Licensed Demolition Contractor.

Batavia Timber and Salvage has been involved in the Demolition industry in the Mid West Region for over twelve years servicing both the Private and Government sectors. As members of the Demolition Association of Western Australia we have prided ourselves in providing a quality service to all our clients over that period. To ensure that we are able to continue to provide a dependable and quality service that meets all government and safety requirements. Batavia Timber and Salvage is a licensed demolition and salvage company. Licence No. WAD 80.

Having met the stringent requirements and criteria to obtain these Licences, Batavia Timber and Salvage can assure both old and new clients that all work undertaken will be done in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations on Demolition Work and the Australian Standards 2601 Demolition of Structures.

By engaging a licensed Demolition Contractor our clients can protect themselves from possible prosecution under the new Occupational Safety and Health Act Regulations.

Responsibility for enforcing the provisions of the act rests with the WorkSafe West Australian Commission.
